What 21 Days of Consistency Did for My Business

At the start of 2026, I made an audacious decision.

I committed to publishing 21 podcast episodes in 21 days.

Not because it was easy. Not because I had extra time. But because I needed to rebuild consistency in my business.

And what happened surprised even me.

Why I Chose 21 Days

If you’re new here, I recently rebranded my podcast to Your Online Business Mentor.

Before that, it was called Launch Perspective. And if I’m being honest, I had become inconsistent. In 2025, I only published five episodes.

Not because I ran out of ideas. But because I could feel a shift happening in my business, and the podcast quietly moved to the backseat.

At the start of 2026, I knew something had to change.

If I wanted consistency, I had to stop treating the podcast like something optional and start treating it like a commitment.

So I decided to test the “21 days builds a habit” theory for myself.

The Skill Shift Was Immediate

The first big change was in my skillset.

What used to feel like a full day or multi-day project now takes about 60 to 75 minutes. I can brainstorm, outline, record, edit, and publish in a focused hour.

That alone made the experiment worth it.

Consistency forced efficiency.

Our Workflow Improved as a Team

The second shift happened behind the scenes.

As a team, we became dramatically more efficient. When you publish something 21 days in a row, you are forced to remove unnecessary steps.

We simplified how episodes become blog posts. We streamlined how they get repurposed to Substack. We clarified the process for show notes and SEO.

Even if no one had listened, that operational clarity would have been a massive win.

But people did listen.

The Data Proved the Point

In January, before the 21 day series, we had our lowest download month ever.

134 downloads in 31 days.

And honestly, I wasn’t surprised. I had not published an episode in months. Over the last few years, we averaged around 300 downloads a month.

Our highest month had been back in June 2022, right after launch, with 1,091 downloads.

Then February happened.

After 21 days of consistent episodes, we had over 1,700 downloads in one month.

For perspective, the entire podcast has just over 17,000 downloads total. That means one tenth of all downloads over four years happened in a single month.

Not because the algorithm suddenly favored me.

Because consistency compounds.

What This Really Taught Me

Consistency forced efficiency.

Consistency created momentum.

Publishing 21 episodes in a row was hard. I’m glad it’s complete. And I am deeply glad I did it.

It rebuilt something in me.

Momentum does not come from waiting for motivation. It comes from deciding.

What Needs a Jumpstart in Your Business?

Let me ask you something.

What in your business needs a short burst of focused consistency?

If you’ve been wanting to show up more consistently on YouTube, what if you committed to seven days in a row?

If email has been inconsistent, what if you sent one every day for 10 days?

You don’t need 21 days.

But you do need a decision.

Six Years Later

I published this 21st episode on March 2 for a reason.

It’s my sixth anniversary in business.

Six years ago, I said yes without having the whole plan. I just knew the Lord was calling me to more. And as it says in Ephesians 3:20, He has done exceedingly, abundantly above all I could ask or think.

In those six years, I’ve generated over 1.3 million dollars in revenue with a 70 percent profit margin.

More importantly, I’ve been able to help incredible entrepreneurs launch their ideas, build businesses that support their families, and create income aligned with their values.

This business has allowed us to give our daughter her dream wedding. Homeschool our son. Move to Florida to be near our grandson. And we recently found out we have a granddaughter coming in August.

Those are the wins that matter most.

If You’re Stuck Right Now

If you’re in a hard season, keep going.

If you’ve been overthinking, overplanning, and not launching, it’s time to move.

You will adjust. You will refine. You will recalibrate.

But new opportunities only emerge when you serve consistently.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for listening, sharing, and building alongside me.

And remember…

Clarity and impact come from action.
